Just put up Part II of Mark's return to Chicago. Just an fyi, I want to apologize to Frank Breakfast-Styleham, who I accidentally called Frankie Breakfast Sandwich on the podcast because I didn't have my notes in front of me. F.B.S., I love your posts. (Although that Wilt over Jordan still pisses me off) Mark was hurt by Newskool's critique of his tatoo, but I thought it was a justified, since the tatoo on his arm looks more like me more than Jordan.

Anyhow, we have some superstars on this Forum, and we would like to interview a few of you on some shows in August, to get your input on the team going forward. If you would like to be a special guest on a CBE show in August, please send me an email at chicagobullseye@gmail.com

or reply to the post. We would like to have 3 Forum Superstars on the various August shows. If we get too many emails, we'll have to put some names in the hat, and then pick 3. But if it goes well, we might make it a regular thing for at least one show a month.

To qualify, you must have at least 75 posts by 7.30.2009.

Fred I would love to be on the show. My case would be I would argue that Hinrich is better fit on than roster without using Steven T Gorches points or any other drone like that Carol Slezak. Also I make case for why this team is better than last years and will be the 5th seed or better. By the way any reason why is isn't on itunes yet?

I'm putting you on the list Dpauley. You would be a great guest. You're one of the few who could construct on argument on the "Kirk is a better fit" side.

For some reason, it takes iTunes about 30 minutes to 1 hour to pick it up. I have no idea why.

Here are some of the other topics I see us trending to:

a. J. Johnson: is he a 3 or 4?
b. How should we split the minutes at the 1 and 2.
c. With a renewed focus on D, is it Time to pull a Michael Curry on VDN and go for Avery Johnson?
d. You're the GM: Bosh or Amare and why.

As for your coach thing I have little inside info where KC told me VDN would be fired at the latest after the season and look for them to go after defensive coach. To me I think they will go after Van Gundy though.

Wow. That would be awesome. I'm not a fan of VDN with the team going forward. If we want to focus on D, Van Gundy would be great. We don't have the offensive firepower anymore to runs Suns-east.

By the way JJ is 4. Hinrich will get 25 back up minutes. Pargo 10 minutes. Bosh because Amare is damaged goods and didn't play like max player last year

a. he play's like a 3, but he has the body of an undersized 4. i expect him to take over the andres nocioni role. Although he has a decent skill set, i doubt he'll be able to be a defensive powerhouse. i expect him to be a solid role player. he's 22. we might be able to get him on a very nice contract for his prime. i like him as an addition to the bulls.
especially if he can knock down an outside jumper/catch and shoot.

After further reflection, i think he's going to be a 3. Kush is right. deng is going to get injured. he's made of glass. expect minutes to open up at the 3. let's hope he can develope the foot speed to stay infront of 3's. otherwise he might be a ryan gomes like player.

b. rose get's the bulk of the minutes. salmons at the 2. trade kirk hinrich for a young two guard and sign a back up pg. this team isn't going to win any championships in the next couple years. we're a young team. most of our starters are under 25. do we really need a luxury like hinrich? i'd rather get a solid young prospect.

c. Reinsdorf would never do it. del negro's contract is up this year. isn't it? it's the cheapest contract in the league. Avery is looking for lots of cash. we aren't that type of team. we dont give up big money for coaches. we never have... we probally never will. beggers can't be choosers. let vdn play out the rest of his contract. i dont think we owe skiles and cash after this. let's get a new coach next season. at the very least we need a defensive assistant like tom thibodeau.

d. bosh. he's younger. he plays defense. he's able to run the floor. he's got a good midrange jumper. he isn't the ideal post player, but he can score well/play defense. Amare doesnt fit our 'defensive plans'. Amare is asking for a lot of cash. When he was pulled from the D'antoni system of running and gunning, his stats suffered drastically. Are the bulls capable of running a 'run and gun' offense while staying committed to a defensive philosophy? Admittidly the bulls like to play fast, but i'm not sure what our future shall be with a more experienced derrick rose. Furthermore, espn and real gm are hailing the next draft class to be the return of the big-men. Rather than pursue a big man, maybe we should pursue drafting up in order to get a decent young prospect.

With derrick rose still yet to be actualize his full potential, i suggest the bulls try to get younger rather than older. pick bosh. trade hinrich for a shooting guard. we can't have salmons there forever.

NewSkool! You said I should of had a Bull in the sky instead of MJ! ....I'm just gonna say, it hurt me deep dude! And as retaliation, I "might" have gone on a 30 minute rant about you on episode 72. I hope Fred cut it though since it was out of line. If not, I personally invite you on episode 73 to verbally bash me for 5 minutes and I can only respond to your crtisizm with praise for you.You are a god of Chicago.

And Fred the reason you thought the tat looked more like you than MJ was because you looked at the wrong one! You were looking at my tattoo of Rod Beck.... RIP Rod!

Always love the two-parters guys. Its good to see Mark calmed down a bit after experiencing serious separation anxiety from BG7 last weekend. He seemed more broke up about it than I thought you would be Fred. The Jacko talk at the end was great. Its nice to see Mark get a chance to rant every once in awhile cuz lemme tell ya he can do it well & its usually hilarious. I can only imagine how much you cut out of him ripping Newskool, which I told him I didn't really think was necessary. When you post your pic up there & ask people what they think, well, they're usually gonna tell ya. I'm still in shock that you even got a tattoo since you said you never would.

Anyway, like the ideas for upcoming shows Fred, but you have to get some Boozer talk in the next cast. It's a very real possibility, even though I never count my chickens before they hatch with this Bulls dis-Organization, with Milsap going back to Utah, Boozer could be sportin Red, White, & Black soon. Which would be amazing. Mark can attest to the fact that I've loved this guy since we passed him in the '02 draft 2nd round for Roger Friggin' Mason Jr. I'll never forget how pissed I was after that draft. Not only did we draft Jay Will, who I hated, but then we passed on Boozer & took Lonny Baxter, who plays in the DC Penal League now.

As for the head coach thing, I don't see the Bulls firing VDN really. He's on the final year of his contract anyway, already took the team to the playoffs in his first season, improved thru out the season & post-season, & could still be a decent coach. Will he be here after next season? I really don't think so & that's probably when you'll see Avery as a canidate, since he is still getting paid by Dallas & is in no rush to get back into coaching.

A. Looks like a 3 to me but I think the Bulls will run him at both, maybe more at the 4 unless Deng gets hurt. There were times last year that Chicago went small and had Salmons playing the 4 so I am sure VDN will have no problems sticking him there.

B. DRose should play close to 40 min/game at the PG. Salmons 36-40 min/game at the 2 and 3. Kirk about 28 min/game only 8 at the PG, Pargo 10-15 min/game at the 1 and the 2.

c. Although I would love to see Avery Johnson, who I wanted anyway even over D'Antoni but I think they will let him ride out the season unless they come out and start 1-25 out of the gate.

D. I would take Amare over Bosh. At first I only wanted Bosh, for the reasons that some other people said. Amare doesn't play defense, injuries, and his numbers were low last season. But Bosh is know intimidator down low and mostly plays the high post and the elbows, something that our players now can do, although Bosh does it better. Amare has a power inside game, something the Bulls desperately need and I think his defensive cirticism stems from being a Center all his time with a weak defending team. Last year he finally played PF and they were a mess trying to get used to Shaq, but before his injury he was starting to turn it on and dominate. If he came here he could actually be a power forward like he is suppposed to and he has the athletecism to be a great defender so I wouldn't worry about that. I think D'Antoni is a moron thinking you don't need a Center to win in the NBA and he is doing the same thing with the Knicks now. Who is going to be there Center this year Jordan Hill? David Lee? Danilo Galinari? What a joke of a coach, I am so happy he didn't come to Chicago. I think Amare would flourish here in Chicago and he has something to prove.

I would rather see Pargo play 5-10 mins instead of the 10-15 you have him at. Put Kirk up at 32-35mpg.
