First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to the Forum Superstars. I really enjoy reading your posts.

Mark and I had a discussion on the last show about our favorite foods. I like turkey, and he likes some Indian dish that I've never heard of. What is your favorite? As you can probably tell, I'm trying to keep my mind off the disasterous first half I just witnessed in Utah.

For me there is nothing better than a nice barbecue. Grilled steaks and sausages with a delicious barbecue sauce and a little salad.

Damn I´m getting hungry! :D

  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
For Thanksgiving, I'm all about the turkey and some mashed potatoes. Every other day, I'm open to most foods, but tend to favor Mexican, Chinese, and in general spicy food.

That's an excellent question Fred...

Being 6-4" and 147 pounds with a metabolism so high I can burn a meal off before even sitting down to eat it, one might correctly guess that I like to eat.

When I was in High School I once ate 42 Krispy Kreme donuts in 10 hours and lost 2 pounds.

Freshman year i ate a KFC family meal one night for dinner (6 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, 4 corn on the cobs, cole slaw, 4 krispy strips and a chocolate cake. I gained one pound.

Senior year I ate 20 pancakes at an All-You-Can-Eat promotion at IHOP (after having breakfast at home an hour earlier before learning my family was going).

Another night in Phoenix they scored more than 100 points so each ticket was good for two free tacos at Jack in the Box. I scooped up 15 tickets and scored 30 tacos in the drive through (boy were they pissed) and ate each and every one of them when I got back.

So again...when your metabolism is so high you have many favorites.

Having lived in China since February though I am craving a LOT of stuff and you will conveniently find them in the following list...

1. Donuts- I absolutely love donuts. They are my number one weakness. When I see donuts I go nuts.

2. Nachos - Few things are more appealing to a hungry man than a football game on and a huge stack of nachos with cheese.

3. A Huge Steak - Enough said.

4. Cheeseburger - No such thing as that here.

5. Mexican Food - They always give your your moneys worth. Free chips...loaded burritos...you know you got your money's worth when you limp out of the restaurant on the way to your car.

6. Ice Cream - Another major weakness of mine.

7. A Genuine American Thanksgiving Meal - turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and heavy gravy, corn, peas, all that good stuff...

8. A Real American Barbeque- This is what men do best. We are naturally good at taking meat and setting it on fire. I also think men like this because for the most part, men prefer to eat with their bare-hands while standing up. Women have matured and civilized us to the point where we barely eat anything barehanded anymore but the barbeque is our one escape to grill and to eat the way we're supposed to eat.

When we return to the States in January someone's going to have to keep me under control. Sooner or later my metabolism won't be so high and I'll gain a ton of weight.

But mostly donuts.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I injested probably about 15lbs of turkey, stuffing, mash potatoes, veggies, rolls, macaroni salad, then topped that all off with a slice of cookies & cream pie. Add to that 4 glasses of wine & I was almost as lethargic as the Bulls were last night.

As for favorite foods in general, give me a lifetime supply of Johnsonville Brauts, endless wheels of pepperjack cheese, & a bag of cheetos big enough for me to swim in & I'm in hog heaven.

Dude I love me some pizza too, it's all good. Indian curry has a soft spot in my stomach. I guess it's the spice factor.

how bout some love for the filipino food. have you guys ever had a bag of deep fried chicken skin? just a bag full of it. one of my favorites, simple, but outrageous at the same time.

i will and always have loved white castle. i have to settle for the frozen stuff out here in socal but nothing beats a suitcase full of these bad boys straight from the source. i can never turn down a white castle burger or dozen.

I can't really pick a favorite but I would have to say my top three are buffalo chicken, corn on the cob and steak.

I share your affection for white castle. Years ago my dad used to bring crave cases home every so often. Needless to say, those were good days for my stomach. But alas, no longer as my parents are trying to keep healthy and spend less money on fast food, a noble cause, but at times I miss some white castle.
