Mark and I discuss the current sorry state of the Bulls. Will Deng return before the end of the season? Will we make the playoffs? Will the Bulls miss Hinrich's thrust and 26% 3-point shooting in March? We'll see.

Here's the video I refer to at the end of the podcast regarding the incredible Corey Feldman:

The thing that worries me about the Deng injury is they pulled the "he'll be back in a week or so, no wait he's out for the season" thing last year. The injury doesn't sound serious, but who knows how much of that is reality and how much is PR?

Is it wrong that one of the reasons I want to make the playoffs is so that the Bucks don't get the 11th pick?

I know I am being petty here but, it really bothers me that we helped them become good and still have to swap picks with them ugghhh!!!!!!

Why GarPax why didn't you trade Salmons to a team out west? :(

The Bucks are getting the pick either way. They will finish better than us. Is the difference going to be that big between say the 12th, 13th, or 14th pick? I doubt it.

And the Bulls tried to trade Salmons out west, to the Rockets, & they didn't want him. The Bucks were the only team offering the expirings we wanted in return. It sucks, but that's the NBA. Takes two to tango.

Theres good chance that we switch the 11 and 17th pick which is pretty big difference

Actually it's the 11th for the 18th right now. If the Bucks catch the Blazers, which isn't absolutely crazy given they're only one loss behind, it's the 19th.

They have to face Cavs, Hawks, and Magic at least 6 more times so I don't think they'll continue their pace

Either way, it doesn't matter. It's all about Free Agency for us, not the draft. I just don't see why so many people are that upset about it. It's not like the Bears giving up 2 1st rounders, a 2nd & a 3rd rounder for 1 guy.

People are upset because we could have traded Hinrich instead of Salmons. So what take on Sasha contract. It's better than watching that piece of crap showup only when he wants to fight someone. I'm getting so sick of this guy's lame ass act

I agree 100%, we are going to get either 17-18th regardless of where we finish. However, just to spite the Bucks I would much rather give them 14th than 11th. That way they can stop with the delusions that some awesome player might drop to them.

I totally agree with you.

We really messed this one up this trade deadline. We helped our BOTH playoff rivals that were right behind us at the time while we regressed and we already knew Noah was hurt.

On top of that we give Bucks right to swap picks as well as we give them 2 second rounders????

I much rather have us trade Hinrich to LA for Morrison/Powell/Vujacic.

Worst case, Vujacic and Morrison give us 2 3pt shooters and another big guy in Powell to bang with other players.

Also, if Salmons opts out, we would have shit load of money to not only go after a big free agent but also for a guy like Morrow or something. Or even if Salmons opts in, I don't mind him here at $5.8mil next year with that expiring of his.

Or he would be MUCH EASIER to trade this summer (or in a sign and trade this summer).

We would have had a LOT MORE Flexibility that way. But I guess GarPax FAILED us.

Not to mention, I HATE HINRICH.

The trades were made to keep Jerry's son, Kirk, on the team, the crap we would've got back from Boston, like House, might not have been that bad, but Kirk is a so-called Icon to the Dorf

Milwaukee had leverage. Its so easy to second guess everything after it happened. What would everybody be saying if the Bulls went into the summer with the 11th pick in the draft and not enough cap room to sign a major free agent? When Salmons was here, everybody suggested he leave, now everybody wishes he was here and they should have traded Kirk instead...none of us knows how this stuff goes down...if switching picks with Milwaukee is the cost to get cap space, so what???

Because this isn't monopoly money, some guy has to pay that 6 million dollars to Salmons.

I don't know, its seems like JR has a hotel on Madison avenue and we keep landing on that spot and paying him.
