The Grillmasters thread has been wonderfully awesome thanks to Gaelic, I figured I would create one for cooking. Feel free to share awesome recipes, shit you cook, low budget meals, etc.

For the past month I've been on a Hibachi kick. I bought a teflon Wok and I've been making Hibachi Chicken and Rice almost every night. I've finally gotten it to where it tastes just like it does from the japanese restaurant. I even tried to make the White Sauce/Yum Yum Sauce but it turned out to be too "Mayo-y" so I just bought some from the store :yep: and it's impeccable.

Next time I make it, maybe tonight or tomorrow night I might order pizza for the Bears game, I will take pictures of the process.

Anybody who wants CHEAP meals, I recommend getting a Wok. They are around $20 bucks. Cooks really fast too.

Simple pork spice rub:

1 tbsp. cinnamon
1/2 tbsp. dried thyme
1/4 tbsp. onion salt
1/4 tbsp. dried mustard
pinch of sugar

Found it in an indoor grilling cookbook. Excellent on pork chops.

I buy a Totinos and cook it 2 minutes more than the maximum recommendation so that it is nice and crisp, but not burnt.

That's my only recipe. :shifty:

I wonder if anybody has a popcorn chicken recipe? Like buy a chicken breast slice it and make it with home-made breading or something... and taste a little like KFC's?

As for the KFC comment, theres a guy that did a few books on cloning many many recipes. From KFC, to Wendys, to making Blizzards frow Dairy Queen. I ate a shitload of Oreo Blizzards till my milkshake maker died :(

I cook all sorts of stuff. In fact, I do the majority of the cooking in my house. Nothing incredibly fancy, just your normal run of the mill stuff. Tacos, meatloafs, spaghetti, etc. Grilling is my favorite way to cook, though.

You take a bowl and a cereal of your choice.. you put the cereal in the bowl and add milk. that's pretty much it.

The "secret KFC ingredient" is actually Cajun seasoning, which is salt, paprika, oregano, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Fortunately, it is sold ready-made.

1 egg
1 cup white flour
1 tsp Cajun seasoning
2 small boneless chicken breasts
3/4 cups vegetable oil (or any other frying oil)
2 paper towels
Mix flour and Cajun seasoning in small mixing bowl.
In separate bowl, beat egg.

Cut chicken breasts in small pieces ranging anywhere from about a 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inch in size, depending on how crispy you want (smaller=crispier).

Pour oil into a small skillet and place on a medium heat.

Dip pieces of chicken into egg, being sure they are fully covered.

Drop the chicken, piece by piece into the flour mixture, fully coating the chicken.

Test to be sure that the oil is ready by dropping a little glob of batter into the oil. If it sizzles and fries, it's ready! Now, slide the chicken into the skillet, easily and slowly to be sure the oil doesn't splatter all over you. Do this as quickly as possible. After about 3-4 minutes, flip the pieces over (pieces should be colored a light golden brown).

When chicken is finished, scoop it out draining as much oil as possible into the pan for more chicken and place it on a plate with the two paper towels lining the bottom.

This will catch and drain the excess oil so your chicken is super crunchy.
