Ideally, you would hope that Poles gets a FA that can start on day 1, and follows it up by drafting a center that is chomping at the bit to win the starting job in his own right.
I think the smart play is to not risk further injury and let the trainers come get you, but I am impressed that instead of letting pain take over, he was able to get himself off the field. You want a center with that kind of grit.
