Hopefully, this will pave his way to Toronto. I recently sent two cards to him at the Red Wings and he signed both of them. My son has a pic on his wall from the 92 allstar game, standing with Belfour and Roenick.

No doubt he'll get into Toronto. First try.

I just hope the Hawks don't try to have him back in the UC for a long time. That was not a good scene last year.

I know the feelings around Chelios are mixed. For me though he was probably my favorite Hawk for a very long time, and I was saddened when he was traded to Detroit. He deserved the honor and I am hoping that the next time he is in Chicago his reception will be warmer.

As much as I'm bitter towards Roenick and can't stand who he became after his chippiness in Phoenix, I never got around to being pissed at Chelios even though he was playing for the Red Devil, and I'd say this is well deserved and the next step to Toronto.
