If the Hawks play like they did against Detroit - essentially just pressure pressure pressure... I like their chances.

The Kings are slow (like Detroit). This is the kind of game where the Hawks can play their desired speed/tempo game without the fear of running into a brick wall of defensive hockey.

The only brick wall is Quick (and he is a big one, no doubt)

Speed and hitting the net (bodies and pucks) can carry the Hawks to a win.

Get one or two early goals against these guys and instill some early doubt. That'll go a long way.

Kings may have added offense with Carter but losing a defenseman like Jack Johnson could have consequences in their own end. Exploit that.

I think you're underestimating how awful LA's offense can be, though. They have scored the least goals in the entire NHL, and they've been in a bit of a scoring slump of late, too.

And according to the broadcast of their game from earlier in the week, they're in an even bigger funk recently. Granted, that's exactly why you make a move like the one they did for Carter.

It'd be a real nice game for Crow to continue his dominant play.

Also, agreed on Kane. This is the type of team he can finesse around and dominate, like few other guys in the league can do.

very true, but with addition to carter things may be better for them. still very dangerous. its like our PP with them on 5 on 5, all the talent, just cant get it done.
