The important part for you wondering at home.

"He will oversee the Hawks’ scouting operation, which had been split between the amateur and pro levels, and report to new general manager Kyle Davidson."

Interestingly though. He was here when everything went down having started with them in 2006. Soooo.... no idea what role he held at the time.

You never really know to react to news like this, but initially, I'm okay with this. As the article states, Maciver was actually demoted by Bowman, which makes me like this move because it shows that him and Stan were not on the same page. Anyone who doesn't share the same vision as Bowman is okay in my book.

Well if the rumors are true, McI wanted to start rebuilding right after the last Cup win but was ignored by Stan who wanted to milk every last drop out of the core.

There were supposedly two camps and we all know who’s camp won out.

THat's what I'm waiting to see, them to come out and just commit to something. Unlike stan that said he wasn't rebuilding then was rebuilding, then was retooling, then made a bunch of trades that went all in.

So after losing out on the GM job, Greenberg gets hired after all as the second associate GM. Not sure why the org and/or Davidson is so high on this dude, but whatever I guess.

Because like... Look at all the wonderful strategy he did with the cubs man... Just look at it. Baseball is exactly like hockey just colder. Look how well the last cubs hire went. This is a sure home run.
