He is still earning league minimum and won't be arb eligible for a couple more years so there's no big risk if they try to see if he catches fire again. But I think they'll just let him go to Japan.

And with his struggles and loss of playing time I am sure the confidence he once had is all but gone. If they do keep him and he sucks next year, then they can just FedEx him to Japan or something.
