Hinrich, #16 pick for Landry, Cook, Lowry, Barry

Houston gets a bigger PG/SG who can defend both backcourt positions and form a nice duo with Brooks. Those two can actually play together and it suits them with Brooks being a smaller shoot first point guard. Hinrich fits that tough defensive minded basketball team. If they bring back Artest to go with Battier and Hinrich they will be one of the strongest perimeter defensive units in all of basketball. Houston does not currently have a first round pick so the pick allows them to bring in a bigman to go with Ming and Scola. They probably also sign a backup center with vet minimum.

Chicago gets a young PF/C with strength and a solid post game to go with Noah and Tyrus.Landry could even push Tyrus at that PF spot. Lowry gives them a cheap backup point guard to go with Rose. Cook and Barry and expirings. Barry probably even gets cut.

Brooks,Hinrich
McGrady,Wafer
Artest,Battier,White
Scola,#16, Hayes
Ming,FA, Dorsey

Rose,Lowry
Gordon, Salmons
Deng, #26
Tyrus, Landry,Tim Thomas
Noah,Miller,Cook, James

You need a better frontcourt player than that...

how about a sign and trade with gordon for t-mac, just for a huge expiring that can be a standstill for a while. we can maybe make it a three team deal to try to get something more back too

The only reason TMac for Gordon doesn't make sense is because you don't have a team ready to win now. If TMac was healthy, he would be a better player than Gordon, definite upgrade. But with age as a factor, it makes no sense unless you can win now, he would need to be the last cog.

that and he's injured all the time. he likes to be the primary ball handler. he was terrible this season...and gordon had an amazing season this year.

i know that it doesn't make sense from a standpoint of which one do you want, but compared to giving up gordon for nothing.

I think this would be a fine trade. It doesn't seem like the Bulls are going to keep Hinrich and Gordon so Hinrich has to go. If we could gat Landry and Lowry for Hinrich I would be very excited.

My problem is seeing why Houston would do this. Why would Houston put themselves in our position by taking on Hinrich's contract and then having him come off the bench. If we think he is too expensive to be a backup then why put him in Houston to back up Brooks? Doesn't make sense to me. And please Hinrich is not a SG, let's all stop saying that because these stupid coaches put 2 pg's on the floor all of the time does not make them sg's. Hinrich is a PG and that is it, so no team is going to pay him 9 mil a year to be a backup pg or a sg.

And yes Brooks would start over Hinrich. He is younger and really showed promise in the post season, there is no way they would pine him for Kirk.
