Well I haven't posted in a while but that's because my weekend has been BUSY due to me being in the Greatest City of All, CHICAGO!! Boy lemme tell ya riding on a plane for the 1st time in 15 years was a bit nerve wrecking but was all safe. LAX to Denver and to Midway in about 4 hours and 30 minutes after I boarded a Frontier Airliner I came to a city that I haven't been in also 15 years.
The airline I was on has animal mascots which I thought was cool. The first plane had a white spotted fawn(baby deer FYI) and the 2nd plane I got on had a BEAR as its mascot. How appropriate! So when the captain of my 2nd flight announced Chicago was in sight I decided to uncover the blinder on the window I was sitting by the moment our plane landed at Midway. I had a few tears knowing I was finally going to see my dad for the first time since February(long story)
Speaking of Downtown, me and my dad had quite the walk! Started off Michigan Avenue than we walked literally around the historical places like the Water Tower, the view of Lake Michigan and also walked around the downtown skylines including the Hancock and Sears Tower. Walked from 100 Madison to 1901 Madison to see the Madhouse On Madison II and the plaque for the original Stadium. Soldiers Field was the next place we went to see, than walked to Navy Pier, visited the Fountain, walked in Grant Park and took the Metra home. Quite the day
The places we sat down were really awesome in Diktas and Miller's Pub. Man oh MAN those places had good stuff! If there are anymore places pertaining to sports and such please do tell me ASAP! This weekend was fun and this week will be even more fun as I plan on going to the White Sox game on Wednesday, seeing the Bears training camp on Saturday and a Cubs game on Sunday! This will be an interesting week! So far this trip is a perfect score and I've been here only since Friday. Hoping to meet new people out here as well, so please if there's anywhere else I should take a look at comment on this and hope to run into a few proud members of the best sports site in America, ChiCitySports.com!
