Chicago Trip

Bringing Mrs. Sheep and the little lambs to Chicago next week for a trip to see the grandparents. Got some Cubs tickets. Going to spend a few days downtown with Mrs Sheep only. I'm from the area so I've hit all the main "sites" numerous times over the years. What I'm wondering is.... Anything new I should be visiting? It's been two or three years since I've been back. Longer since it was in the summer. Any new activities in the area that are cool?

New and much larger Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier.

Children's Museum is located at the Pier too. My kids when they were that young loved it

I heard there's a new Star Wars museum in Despbro's favorite parking lot.

Pipeworks brewery and Revolution are close by, so you can hit those if beer is your thing.
I do suggest Honky Tonk in Pilsen for some tasty BBQ, or I'm sure many CCS posters have their personal favorite pizza dives to check out.
Piece Pizza is one of my favorites, but you can always to some of the tried and true by the more touristy parts of downtown.

Outdoor CSO production. Panty dropper. Also, the Art Institute opened a massive new wing about 6 years ago; if you haven' been there for a while it's pretty impressive. Or take the little woman up to Kingston Mines. That place is tits.

You can get a segue tour on the lakefront (not sure if that appeals to you) plus your 6 year old may be to young for their age/size requirements.

Piece is good not special, comes on a rectangular pan plus they are also a brewery that has decent beers.

Also you may be here during one of the BLM traffic stopping protests during rush hour if you're looking for that type of thing.
