I got a two fold idea here:

Salmons, #16 for Etan Thomas, #5

If we keep it then I like the idea of James Harden if he is there. If not and here is the second part of this:

Tyrus, James, Tim Thomas, #5 pick to Toronto or Phoenix for Bosh or Amare

If we want go into the luxury tax after this deal to sign Gordon you can.

**On a side note I like the idea of having Etan Thomas on the roster as a strong physical interior player especially if we acquire an offensive minded bigman via trade like Bosh or Amare**

Etan Thomas had heart problems last year. Before that, he couldn't play anyhow.

The second part of your post is doable substituting the first round picks.

I like the idea but we would probably have to give them Hinrich and not Salmons. What are they going to do with Salmons? They have Arenas back and Butler at the 3, Jamison is kinda a 3 also, he would be a bench guy, where as PG is a big whole for them, Hinrich would start right away. Plus they probably remember Hinrich being a tough player in the playoffs against them so they probably like him.

So if we trade Hinrich and #16 for Thomas and 5# I would scream and shout, awesome. I love Hinrich a lot but we have a great PG so he has to go, he is too good of an asset to just have rotting on the bench and playing out of position at the 2, even though he does a solid job there.
