What a bunch of crap. How much money was spent in finding, harvesting and destroying all that? What a waste.

I hate these puritanical laws.

I hope they donated it to some research center instead of destroying it.

This is exactly why weed will never become legal FYI By no means am i saying that it should be illegal it's just the fact there is so much money to be made from keeping it illegal it's more money that the government hides from us.

Yep.

Keeping people in prison for double digit time while they do for profit work for the independent prison companies. It's a wonderful mode of modern slavery.

There's more than hurdles to jump to legalize weed.

Are you telling me all the taxpayer dollars wasted in the "war on drugs" actually make the government money?! I want to live on your planet.

Please correct me if I misread your statement.

The "war on drugs" is making someone in power rich and that's the reason weed and narcotics are still illegal.

I don't buy that argument either. I think the recent reports have a cost about 10-14 billion dollars annually on just the war on marijuana (no other drugs included although I am sure it's not that simple in all cases). That's a travesty of overspending. If Romney gets into office he might want to cut some of that spending instead of worrying about what BIg Bird is doing on PBS.

As we have discussed before in these threads. It's the growers and dealers and the intelligent buyers themselves that will roadblock pot from ever being legalized. They are the ones who lose money if it ever does become legalized in government control and mandated and taxed up the nards.

Nevermind the fact that I think it should be legal for recreational use, the medicinal upside is just amazing.

So many people could be helped, from migraines to chemo patients, it helps. Yet, because of the laws, those people have to get it from some piece of shit. The ads they have where it says "if you buy drugs, you are supporting terrorists" anger me and make me laugh all at once. If you (the government) truly believes that, then the way to hurt the terrorists is to legalize it. Or decriminalize it.

Well, buying gas for your car also supports terrorism.

Of course. But I think its silly to have to get a doctors ok. I am not going to get into the whole "it is better then manufactured drugs" and so on. So stupid.

That's ok, cause the gubmint can tax the shit outta it. We are also slaves to the combustion engine. The argument can then turn to the "because of rich people lining the pockets of politicians".
