Chicago's Worst Sports Writers

So I was going to put this in other sports but some of you don't frequent it enough for me to run a poll about this. I read a lot of different guys from all the sports here in Chicago. And by far the worst I've come across is Steve Rosenbloom. Every title (cause I've stopped reading the artciles) is about the opposite of whatever the popular opinions are. He seems to be 100% focused on being THE antagonist on every issue. It just drives me nuts, and I can't believe that people still read him. I wont' even click the links anymore because it only justifies what he writes.



So that got me thinking, I want to do a poll of who the worst sport's writers in Chicago are. Give me your names and reasoning below, any sport. And if we have enough interest beyond Chicago, I can open up the poll. try to keep it to major publications as I'm not going to put the assbags like Eklund and Jackel in here or anyone who just publishes a blog. I want a guy who does it for a living and is published in print. (Exceptions will be made with supportive evidence.)



So let's have fun with this, and vent about our favorite worthless hack-jobs? I'll create and open the poll as we get responses.

Here's a better question: Who are Chicago's good sports writers?



Because for all people like to denigrate blogs and bloggers, I've found them more readable than just about any sports writer for either of the "respected" rags in Chicago.

For me, there is no one that can ever pry this title from Jay Mariotti's fat little fingers. He was and is a right asshole of the first order. Writing in Chicago or not anymore doesn't matter---he shall go to his grave being the most worthless piece of Chicago sports hack ever.



And let us not forget that to boot, outside of sports writing that he is in general a cowardly piece of shit for being abusive to women. In summation, he's useless.

AWESOME suggestion Bookie, I had forgot about him because he's not around anymore, but i"m sure he's somewhere and he's definitely a piece of shit. It's funny you bring him up because now that I think about it, Rosenbloom is like the Tribs version of what Marrioti was, their job was to be basically troll sports news for reaction instead of covering it like a journalist.

Rozner is good. I will add him and Zheim although I don't know him as much.

I don't mind Rozner. He's wrote some decent articles in the past. He's also wrote some real pieces of shit too.
