ESPN Cleveland's Kenny Roda has reported that the Cavaliers have contacted the Toronto Raptors regarding possible sign and trade opportunities for All-Star power forward Chris Bosh.

Needless to say, acquiring Bosh would heavily influence LeBron James into staying put.

Assuming the Cavaliers packaged either Mo Williams or Antawn Jamison with J.J. Hickson and a future first round draft pick, Cleveland could boast a lineup with the reigning MVP, a perennial All-Star in Bosh, and another potential All-Star in either Williams or Jamison.

Consequently, if such a deal were to be struck, the Cavs could potentially dominate the league instantly.

Needless to say, this offseason's free-agent landscape would then be drastically altered.

With LeBron and Bosh teaming up, it is probable that many other high-profile free agents would seek similar situations with star-laden squads.

Therefore, the teams with the ability to afford two maximum contracts would likely be at an advantage when pursuing the remaining big-time free agents. This could see the Heat, Knicks, and Nets all become major players going forward—even more than they had been previously.

However, as of now, there is nothing but talking going on between Cleveland and Toronto.

So the rest of the league has nothing to fear—yet.

I really doubt this happens. The Cavs have no cap space for a max FA like Bosh and no team wants Mo Williams' and Jamison's contracts

problem? WHY THE HELL WOULD THE RAPTORS DO THIS. THEY'RE SCREWING THEMSELVES!!!

that's why i think bosh has a high chance of coming to chicago. sign lebron, then we give them hinrich, deng, taj, johnson and 2 first rounders for bosh and hedo. deng is 25, taj and james are about 22, so they get pieces for the future. hinrich is 28 so they get some decent pieces for now. OUR two first round picks, one would be #17 this year in a VERY strong draft. the next would be charlotte's 2012 which has a VERY high chance to be top 10. if lebron got bosh, they would have the 30th pick which wouldn't do crap for toronto.

so basically they want toronto to take on a 35 year old making 15.5 mil a year and a chucker for their best player. nothing for the future rebuilding process whatsoever. good luck cleveland.

If i have the max and our current cap #s correct...Take our current 24M and trade Hinrich and Deng, that gives us 44.5. Trade Taj and JJ, that gives us around 47. Bosh and LeBrons max's would come out to 33.6, leaving us with 13.4. Hedo takes off another 9, and we finally have 4.4M. Problem with this is that we would only have 5 players under contract and would need 7 more to fill out the roster. Even with a starting lineup of Rose-Turk-Bron-Bosh-Noah, you wont win a title with no one on your bench. Oh wait, i didnt include the draft pick. I guess thats around 1.5M like JJ so that would be 5.9M left. You could sign a decent 6th and fill out your roster with D-leaguers for the league min. But if one guy gets an injury on our team, we're screwed. Turk ruins it all.

As far as the topic goes, TORs could do this but i doubt it. JJ Hickson is a good big, which is what they would want. Jamison is a good player too. How soon we forget that he's been balling in this league since his 6th man days in Dallas. But he is up there in age and w/o Bosh, TOR would be rebuilding. Not the guy they want. Mo is a chucker and proved himself worthless in a majority of the playoffs. They still have Calderone and Jack and until theyre gone, theyre not taking MO. Also Bosh probably wouldnt want to be in Cleveland the market.

Its not happening.

this isnt going to happen imo

they wouldnt have the room to resign lebron and take in bosh and others

and they would have to find some way to get rid of mo and/or jamison

doesnt look like that is happening at this point in time

PLUS Shitland isn't even on Bosh's list & he wouldn't sign the dotted line to go there. He will wait til he's a FA or sees a better S&T.
