I haven't seen a topic about this here. There is a LOAD of money behind trying to get CISPA passed, and drawing it up in a friendly light. You know, hug a puppy, love CISPA type of spin marketing. Oh and the infamous, help us catch terrorists, give us this power(total censorship and access to all, control potential of the web).

It's basically all of the bad things with SOPA and PIPA put into one.

In the end though, aren't we fairly powerless? The people don't seem to be nearly, or at all involved in trying to stop this bill. Seems all the energy was spent on the last one. Therefore they'll just keep trying and trying and trying.

I'm not saying you or I should give up, I won't, but in general, people are lazy...and the media is busy being focused on a trial that really does not affect many people in this country.

This bill hasn't gotten serious momentum until recently. So you'll start to see people take it seriously now.


Of course, the corporate-clout cycle is pushing again. The grass roots are the only hope, as usual.
