anyone see civil war yet?
A buddy of mine went to see it and said that the fight between the avengers was awesome, but the story was done poorly.

I dont care if there are spoilers in this thread- I know the overall gist. Just trying to decide if it is worth putting in the time to see it in the theater.

Going in an hour.

Over 90% on rotten tomatoes. That's usually a good sign.

Good movie. Would recommend. If you like the other ones you should like this one.

I loved the others- I guess my buddy is talking out of his ass. He took his daughter to see it, so maybe he was watching it through that filter.

I might just see it tonight or tomorrow, thank you.

I saw it a couple days ago. Thought it was pretty good. Probably like 100x better than Batman v Superman, but I thought that was pretty terrible.

Saw this earlier today and I thought it was a great movie. I mean, i was a little disappointed with all the efforts that the evil guy went through just to cause the civil war, but it was a good movie. Way better than Batman v Superman

People hyped this movie up too much for me. It was good but not great.

Great movie, liked how they tied up a couple of stories within the main story

Getting mixed reviews here. Is it worth the 12 bucks to see in theaters or wait till Red box?

The fight scenes were good, the plot was meh. I think the fundamentally problem for me was the reason for the conflict. The comics had a much more logical reason for the dispute but the way the the movie set it up was hamfisted IMO. First, Tony Stark as this bleeding heart concerned with the damage the Avengers caused just doesn't fit the character from the comics nor really the character from the first few movies who lest we forget create Ultron because of his own ego. I get that all the events prior to Civil War may have led to him changing his cavalier attitude but they probably needed to devote more time to selling this idea.

The Second issue is Captain America came off as someone just completing ignoring the damage the Avengers caused which painted him as more callous than everyone else and this was exacerbated by the fact that he spends the whole movie caring about Winter Soldier and no one else it seems. So basically it came as he didn't care about anyone else that died so long as his brainwashed friend guilty of countless brainwashed murders was saved.

They should have just stuck with the conflict from the comics that were truer to the characters IMO.
