I think he can be an option in certain situations, but starting at the position is not one of them.

To rule him out altogether would be silly, but ya, he shouldn't be an option for starter.

Of course he's an option at SG. Not a good option, not a permanent option, but he's definitely an option. CJ can do well in a lot of matchups at SG.

If the front office screws up and signs :puke: Jamal Crawford then our back-court is way to weak defensively. Thibs is going to use CJ a lot more at the 2, and Crawford as a backup point, regardless of who has their named called out with the starters.
Avoid signing Crawford, we eliminate that nightmare scenario.

We can use CJ as a shooting guard, but not the STARTING shooting guard. IMO he could do well in the 2nd unit with Korver and Gibson being the other two options on offense. If we could get him to unleash some of that GS mindset at times, he could provide a real boost to our bench offense. There was some talk of signing TJ Ford as backup PG some time ago (though I don't think Ford is all that great), and if that's the case then it's worth a shot.

That being said, I think he has really settled into his role as a PG, and might be more effective if the bench had another offensive option than Korver.

Something intriguing would be him and Hinrich in the back court together. But I doubt that'll ever happen.

Glad the Bulls FO gets it. Can they teach classes for the Bears FO?
