The 90s ushered us into the Golden Age of TV. What a time to be alive.

I heard once that the only people who can romanticize the 1970's are those who didn't have to live through them...and I had 10 long months of that decade.

I had an atrocious rust colored suit I had to live with for a few years.

The early part of the 70s was a good time to live because there was a lot of dialogue and challenging the norms. Everyone that wanted to work had a job. the best music came out of the early to mid seventies. Education was affordable and your income tended to match your expenses.

The bad parts of the 70s were the strange clothes. Gas crisis. Vietnam war which was very divisive. Jimmy Carter, worst President in US history. Funky hairstyles on men and women. When Taco disappeared and was never seen again.

And my first new car which was one of the worst cars ever made:

I think Dennis Leary said it best when he was referencing the 70's and said (And I'm paraphrasing), "Here we were in the middle of a sexual revolution wearing clothes guaranteed not to get us laid."

Taco had 2 pair of elephant bell bottom pants. I told him he looked ridiculous. He was so mad that we never saw him again.

I remember people crying in the street when Elvis died, I didn't get it.
Then years later Lennon got shot... then I got it.
