Only Bear fans would be ok with a twice fired HC but question someone like Hardbaugh.

The bar has been set sow low by ownership.

FWIW, I'm ready not to land BJ because they keep interviewing coordinators that everyone knows are not getting the job.

So should they sit on their hands for a week before being able to interview ben johnson again?

And then when he bails on the bears like he did the commanders we're SOL cause everyone else already went to a spot?

Same bears fans who bitched about the bears not interviewing kevin o connell in 2022 are now bitching the bears are interviewing too many guys.

Pure gold.

Who questioned Harbaugh? I think everyone would prefer they hired him last year. From reports they could have had Ben Johnson last year too and now that seems like a long shot.

They messed up bad and then really messed up keeping Poles which is why they are most likely going to lose Johnson. Buckle up for some McCarthy.

If Tomlin hit the market, he would be gone in a day. The guy has been doing it with smoke and mirrors for a while. That Oline was full of rookies and unproven guys. 1 real WR and he is a guy that shows up only when he wants to (Pickens) and is pretty much a cancer in the lockerroom. I think they will deal him this off-season. The drama he constantly brings takes away whatever good he adds — it’s like micro-managing a toddler. Very few coaches could have managed a guy like Pick. Once Pick moves on you will finally see the monumental job Mike T was doing with him. Najee Harris is just a guy. He had a resurrected QB from the scrap heap. Lastly, that defense was large overrated other than TJ and Heyward — any time you are starting Beanie Bishop and guys like that, that area is an open wound ready to get picked on.

I agree that the Mike T needs a fresh start though. Management/Ownership is being cheap and is no longer giving him top tier talent.
*Never let his team have a losing season regardless of periodic team turnover, injuries and or who was at QB.

*Made Antonio Brown & Leveon Bell seem normal.

*Seemingly always has the culture and locker room in check.

*Continually develops guys into great players.

But nah, let’s be obsessed with Mike Vrabel instead, lol

I think it’s the other way around, they have all pro rosters since before Tomlin got there! Name a team that can stack a roster for 20 years! This bad roster( according to you) includes George Pickens, Patrick Queen, Najee Harris, Tj Watt, Joey Porter Jr, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Russel Wilson, Cam Heyward, and Chris Boswell. Half the team has been to a Pro Bowl including 4 going this season, but you’re probably right that’s a bad roster. 🤦🏻‍♂️
I have to start by using PB as a barometer for talent is weak. The PB is a popularity contest. It’s a joke. All-Pro is the standard.l and even that can be questioned sometimes.

The roster is average at best but what I see they are below average. Pickens is overrated. He’s a #2 on most rosters. Porter is one of the lowest graded DBs in the league. Boswell is a kicker. Russell Wilson is old. TJ Watt is a stud but even he fell off the cliff the 2nd half of the season (Not Tomlin’s fault) Najee is the definition of average NFL running back. Cam Hayward is one of the best.

They have middle of the road QBs.

They don’t have a #1 WR

They don’t have a RB that’s a receiving threat along with one of the worst run offenses in the league.

They have the worst pass blocking Olineman in the league. (Moore Jr) and an Oline that can’t run block.

Tomlin should be commended for getting this squad to 10 wins and a playoff spot.

I guess there are worse HC candidates, but I'm not really onboard with McCarthy. Maybe it's Jones meddling, but his offense was pretty "offensive" his last few years in Green Bay. Like a Waldron scheme with a little HGH

Absolute best case scenario would be what remy posted. Get ben johnson and pete carrol as assistant HC + DC. No shot of happening but its the wet dream hire

I know how much you hate rumors, but supposedly Carrol didn't impress in his HC interview. They liked his plan for Caleb, but his staff he'd put together was inferior to the staffs other candidates said they could get.

I know we are talking DC and not HC, but if Carrol can't find good people to surround himself with on the defensive side, it might not be the best hire there.

No, give him what he wants and be done with it. I'm sure this would be a whole lot simpler if Poles was fired like he should've been.

And comparing KOC to Weaver and Petzing is laughable. You're the same dude who argued with me for an entire day Eberflus was better than Dan Campbell.

Point is, get your seatbelt ready because they're going to bleep this hire up.

Yea, if ben johnson is wanting to coach cousins or darnold over caleb/jayden daniels/trevor then he clearly isnt that smart.

Money does matter, its the only reason i see him taking the job. JAX has no taxes either, and can offer all that with a qb that has much more talent than AOC and the guys you listed. Also likely a better team.

Jax also has Trent Baalke who is pretty terrible.

Of the "approved" rumor guys, Breer is probably one of the most plugged in.

McCarthy to Nola likely happens. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears kick the tires though, but I'd wager we are in for a lot of screaming and yelling from the Bears fan base, being impatient, while we wait for the Lions to wrap up the playoffs.

80-90% chance Johnson ends up here.

Davis family have been as bad of owners as the mccaskeys. There are a ton of bad owners in the NFL.

That stadium is packed with opposing fans every game.

So basically just money and tom brady giving him a handy. If he goes there he's not as smart as we all assumed, passing on coaching caleb, trevor and jayden daniels for Aidan O connell.

All the reports of what johnson "wanted" are just bullshit. No one knows truly what he wants.
Raiders are definitely making a play for Darnold and Sanders.

Carrol is a defensive coach and one of the best secondary coaches in particular.
