Daniels and Maye were just guys that weren't Caleb Williams at this time last year and both the Commanders and Patriots were afterthoughts, bad teams that were a long way from being anything relevant.

To us they were just guys. If Ben Johnson is a football genius (remember he wants to play GM too) he should have identified their potential don’t you think?

That was so long ago, the last time the Steelers won a playoff game, Obama was still in office(for a few more days technically speaking). The Steelers are irrelevant; they are a hamster stuck on a wheel of purgatory.

So what you're saying is the Steelers were not nor have ever been the "presumptive AFC leaders"?

Basically more football happened and you changed your entire opinion less than a full month.

The Steelers need to change how they acquire talent, they do not need to change their HC.

Based on what Schefter was saying on McAfee... Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson, and Mike McCarthy are getting jobs this cycle.

He linked McCarthy to NO and Chicago, Glenn to NO and the Jets, and BJ to Chicago, LV, and JAX (obviously, we know this about BJ)

Johnson routinely was rumored to want alignment with his GM.

Poles is one bad year away from being let go and they kept him on for this search. Johnson getting a fresh GM with the Raiders makes sense.

That's one take.

What if the interview was to figure out if that alignment could happen with Poles, and they both felt like it would work out?

If that happens, your whole theory goes out the window, especially if Ben got a promise from them that if he takes the job, Poles gets a contract extension to line up with his contract.

1) Ryan Poles
2) OL
3) DL
4) Ownership is a bunch of clueless leach's

You also didn't think Ben would interview with the Bears out of respect for the Lions.

Let's see if what you think holds up in a few weeks...

I predict McCarthy to NOLA, Glenn to the Jets, and BJ to Chicago.

I never said he wouldn't interview, I said he wouldn't take the job. Of course you interview, showing interests drives up your price.

15 million to coach in the NFL to a guy who has proven absolute zero in terms of coaching.

He brought two top players and tons of others to Colorado and can’t beat a Top 25 team.
I hope this happens. Get him out of CO. I’m so tired of hearing his name.

Gm's and Scouts that have been doing this stuff their whole lives can't do that so how would someone who's never done it be able to do it? Everyone know the draft is somewhat of a crap shoot and there's no exact science to it. Well maybe not everyone cause there's some that want to think they can but.......they can't. The thing he does well is call plays for one of the most talented offenses in football, not scout players in the draft.
