Because teams that are run by people with functional brains can turn a team around in a season or two, unlike the Bears which are on their 30 year rebuild program….
The last SB the Bears won the founder of the NFL picked the Head Coach, the McCaskeys only care about ticket sales.

This may be why Cunningham was speaking to certain prospective HCs separately. Probably also agreed not to filch our 1st choice. Shame. Not sure I would rather keep Cunningham. That said, this leaves an opening for an asst GM selected by our next HC.

Has any of the 20+ candidates they asked to interview said no? Well then they're all interested.
So far Mike Vrabel, which means he decided it was best to put his career on the line with Drake Maye instead of Caleb Williams.

That’s not a ringing endorsement for the generational quarterback.

You think that’s why he chose the Patriots? Dense stupid mother ******. Anytime I see someone typing that “generational” shit I think of an 85 IQ parrot.

He was always going to the patriots.

He wanted to last year, but couldnt because Jared Mayo had a clause in his contract listing him as the successor to billy boy.

He had to wait a year, and when the pats moved on he was clearly going there.

Theirs interviewing qualified candidates and then theirs this. It wouldn’t surprise me at all to see people withdrawal from consideration soon.

So they should sit on their hands for weeks while waiting to interview ben johnson?

How much prep do you think goes into these interviews?

Also, didnt you say you'd rather interview KoC than hire matt eberflus? Now you're mad that we are doing due diligence?

I think you'd be mad no matter what the bears did, outside of hire ben johnson right now which they cant.

Ummm, Vrabel caught 10 td’s as a Patriot (but was a linebacker), is in the Patriot hall of fame, and cusses like a sailor. He was never going to the Bears; Has zero to do with Williams.

This is dumb. He is a former Pats player. They were always his top choice.

Do you see any world where Andy Stenovich gets hired? I just want a healthy balance no I do t want 3 interviews but we are over 20. Nobody else is doing this but the Jets, great company to be in.

Don't the Bears get like 3 4th round picks if Cunningham gets a GM spot?

I think Dak has a no trade clause in his contract, so he won't go anywhere if he doesn't want to.
