Just heard on tonight's game that Vikes didn't hire O'Donnell from the Rams till 2 weeks after they beat the Bengals in the Super Bowl. Damn, that's close to President's Day. I don't like waiting that long. Sometimes it works.

I feel the same way.

Originally I felt like it was too unfocused.

But since these are all zoom meetings, this is more like an initial screening than anything.

It's pretty standard for a first round of interviews for any job nowadays.

If it was anyone other than Jerry, I would assume they wanted more time to come to a deal, but just couldn't.

But Jerry? Who knows?
My guess is McCarthy wants at least a four year deal but Jerry won't agree to a coaches tenure that exceeds his life expectancy.

They'll need to wittle that list for in person interviews down to like 4 or 5 by the time this week is over to have time to get these 2nd round guys into the building and finished with their interviews. I'm not sure i can see that happening soon enough because i'm sure the Saints will have MM in and out very quickly and be totally done with their interview process by the time next weekend is over. We will for sure be the last team to hire our HC.

If we are last that’s great cause it means Ben Johnson.

My favorite teams
  1. New York Mets
  1. New York Knicks
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. New York Rangers
  1. Syracuse Orange

Not necessarily, everyone will have to wait for Ben, or at least the Bears and Raiders, so the Raiders could get Ben and then we're last without Ben Johnson still on the board.

They aren’t interviewing for a mid level management job at Barnes and noble jfc .

Nothing about being a HC for an nfl team is “standard”. There’s only 32 of these jobs on the planet

The winner of the Ben Johnson sweepstakes will know the answer the week after the conference championships. It’s possible they already have a good idea. The agent is talking to Poles and Brady etc.

Ummm, Vrabel caught 10 td’s as a Patriot (but was a linebacker), is in the Patriot hall of fame, and cusses like a sailor. He was never going to the Bears; Has zero to do with Williams.
Do you have proof of the underlined part?

You think that’s why he chose the Patriots? Dense stupid mother ******. Anytime I see someone typing that “generational” shit I think of an 85 IQ parrot.
Caleb is a generational talent. Why isn’t every available coach knocking down the doors at Halas Hall to coach him? LOL

Man I don’t know shit, but that sure would look like a rash decision. Tom Brady calls him up and he completely chnages his mind? lol

People shitting on the Bears for not looking like they know what they want, how does this make BJ look?
JMO, but I think these OC types want a blank slate at QB....they don't want some guy who is already like a reclamation project with big expectations. You can't win in that situation.

He can’t look worse than he looked last year cancelling on a team while in the air.
