The Miller Lite beer commercials feature men in a bar presenting a stereotypical female behavior or act, ie, panties in a bunch; lower back tattoo; carrying a purse. The bartender in these ads is always female and is usually talking to a few other female customers at the bar when the male asks for a lite beer but doesn't specify the brand.

Who is that commercial directed at?

How would it encourage a beer drinker to purchase or continue purchasing Miller Lite?

I always think how bitchy they are and that I wouldn't be giving them a tip if I was that guy. Besides beer is beer. It all sucks.

Beer commercials are weird. They are all funny and all have hot women. And a lot of them don't make sense. My problem is with those new stupid Burger King commercials. Where the guys sing about breakfast. That is the worst singing I've ever heard. It is so annoying.

The Lite commercials identify their product well enough so it's easy to remember what the commercial was about, but I don't recall being that annoyed by a beer commercial.

Maybe those commercials are directed at female beer drinkers.

Haven't seen the singing Burger King ads yet, or don't recall them if I have seen a few.

The pharmaceutical ads are probably even stranger than the Miller Lite ads. Why would anyone even consider getting info about those over the counter drugs -- let alone taking them -- after listening to 20 to 30 seconds of the potentially devastating side effects in a 60 second spot?

And who the hell brings two bathtubs out into the middle of nowhere?

And how did they fill them?

And how is two separate tubs romantic?

Good questions.

How long before viewers see the ad showing two girlfriends talking about buying the product for their mutual male friend? Or the ads featuring same sex couples?

Personally, I think if you're drinking Light beer of any kind you need to man up. It just has no substance.

But that's just the beer brat in me.
Is there such a thing as a light stout or porter?
No, because the brewmasters of said stouts and porters know that there is no half-assing it. ;)

If they're aimed at female beer drinkers, I'd say they're not working for that purpose, either. I find the commercials stupid and sort of offensive. Not sure exactly why, though.

But the main reason I don't drink Miller Lite is because it's flat-out terrible.

Now, back to enjoying my New Belgium 1554.

This one isn't confusing, just extremely annoying:

That fucking Binnies commercial with Dan Ackroyd where they try to make it sound like out-takes.

That stupid squeaking noise that is supposed to sound like a tape rewinding (like they still use tape) pisses me off.

Funny, it does have you talking about it ...but for all the wrong reasons.

Does this commercial really make you want to go out and buy a beer?

Funny how the actor in the panty in a bunch commercial use to play one of the bash brothers in the Mighty Duck sequel.
