Apparently it is protocol for fire fighters to park their engines in a manner to protect the scene of an accident (so the victims and first responders dont get subsequently hit by a passing motorist) this cop disagreed and cuffed him.

I really hope this asshole CHiP got some retraining and 'vacation'. What a dick move. I don't care if you want to get traffic moving again, if the FFs are working, back the **** off.

I am sure the firefighter was relishing the fact that this was recorded.....and seriously unless the FF was giving massive lip service to the cop, he could have waited....could have sworn that they are to server and "protect".

You are right about the FF. He turned to the news cameras that had come to film the accident and said, "you all see this!?! I am being arrested for nothing. You got this?"

The CHiPs are supposedly uber anxious to keep traffic flowing at all costs, according to a lot of comments at the bottom of various articles for this story.

I say again though, as the son of a FF and the grandson of a Police Chief, this cop was an asshole.

The cop is just burning bridges. He made life a whole lot more difficult for himself.

I bet it's the cop that tried to kill the firefighter and is now magically out of prison on a technicality and has changed he way but still has a dark way of getting things done.
