I don't care how he died. That is the simple-minded distraction used to make sensationalist news headlines and target humility from the defense.
But expecting doctors to be so accountable to this level of accuracy is simply unrealistic. I don't blame the doctors. I blame people for not taking care of themselves, then trying to justify their actions by not living up to their own responsibilities.
Doctors get destroyed when they miss something. Then they get destroyed for over-testing which has it's own set of problems; raising premiums and costs, making others in immediate need wait longer, and having to file so many documents to fill valuable rooms with paperwork. We have the most regulated healthcare system in the world by a huge margin, and those who do not have to directly bare the costs, love to force those costs on anyone but themselves.
What happened to personal responsibility? The symptoms that he was having, sure as hell were ignored, just like his marriage vows. Blame the guy who didn't care one way or another. Not the first opinion that he received.
