Article suggesting that by 2035, Canada should have:
15 CFL teams (BC (Vancouver), Calgary, Edmonton, Hamilton, Saskatchewan (Regina), Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg, plus new teams in Halifax, Moncton, Ottawa, Saskatoon, and four others) (pending NFL in Toronto)
6 MLS teams (Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver plus new teams in Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa)
2 MLB teams (Toronto plus new team in Montreal)
2 NBA teams (Toronto plus new team in Vancouver)
10 NHL teams (Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Winnipeg plus new teams in Hamilton, Quebec, Toronto)

Think they are getting a bit ahead of themselves, though I'd love sports to grow in the country.

Well, it was a feasibility study on which cities would be able to support franchises by then, not really predictions lol

The # of teams in smaller cities is what I'm talking though

I could see an extra for Edmonton, but they only have four teams in their entire Canadian Championships. There isn't even building blocks in place anywhere else.

And as always, they love to try and hype up an NHL team back to Quebec. Isn't gonna happen. And neither is a team in Hamilton or a 2nd Toronto team.

Meh, Quebec and Markham (Toronto suburb) are building new NHL-caliber arenas right now
