I was thinking about this today... The Bulls are the #1 seed, the Heat the #2 seed with all the preseason hype about the "Heatles". They meet in the ECF, and currently Miami has a 2-1 series lead. All games have had excitment.

The history is there...

-Bulls #1 pick, Heat get #2. Bulls select Rose
-We sweep the Heat in the first round, after their championship.
-James Posey Hipcheck.
-Hinrich/Wade battles.
-Bulls pursue LeBron, Bosh, Wade in offseason and lose out to Miami
-Bulls sweep Heat in Regular season.

just to name a few.

Could this series spark a rivalry that could last a long time? Especially with both teams being so young. There might be a few more ECF match ups in store for these two teams.

Unless this series is decided in 5 games, yes.

And assuming Chicago bothers to acquire a 2Guard, of course.

If we manage to win tonight's game, I think yes. I'm currently under the belief we wont win another game this series. There will be no season next year, and so we wont see anything until the 2012-13 season.

And unless the CBA passed includes a hard cap with no exceptions, if Miami beats the Bulls, they will be champs for the next 5 years.

No, because the refs will never let this get uncomfortable for the Heat.

No. In order to have a rivalry, both teams must be competitive. The NBA and the referees won't let anyone compete fairly with baby bron, ***** spice and lame wade.

It already was a rivalry, going back to 06.

Wade's Chicago roots keep it one.

It's crazy to think me and Dwyane grew up exactly one block from each other.

we need Rose to hook up with another superster, like Wade did, for this to be an epic rivalry. Right now its DRose vs the two and a half men.

I also could see this rivalry similar to the Bulls-Knicks of the 90's...except we're the Knicks...without the handchecking.

The Heats rivals have always been the Pistons, but the Pistons are terrible...... so I can totally see it happening between the Bulls and the Heat....

I think the heat vs any team in the ECF or playoffs is a rivalry this year. Nobody likes them and everyone wants them to lose. Besides fans of them obviously.

Since when did the Heat actually have fans?

i think that'd be a pretty neat rivalry and would be a hit for ratings

btw its "start an epic rivalry" epic starts with a vowel so you add the n to it but im sure you know and dont give a shit...just being grammatically OCD...coke does that:shifty:
