Watching more game tape the likes of Adipose and others have posted (thanks as always), I have grown so frustrated with Nagy’s route concepts. His puzzling aversion to using the middle of the field is maddening. The vast majority of the routes run are near and/or moving toward the boundary. As a result opposing safeties can too easily get over the top of receivers to break up or help crowd.
Defenses seem to play a lot of 2 deep shells and can easily cheat over because they are rarely challenged in the deep middle or more shallow crossing, let alone slant routes.

Seriously, what in God’s name is Nagy doing? Drives me crazy seeing every (or at least the vast majority of) routes flaring out wide and shallow or run along the sidelines.

I know Foles hasn’t had consistent time back there but Nagy could be helping his QB and receivers out while making things tougher for opposing secondaries.

Thoughts?
