So I watched the match last night. Darling was a BEAST but it concerns me that Crawford wasn't out there. How is it that Crow isn't even starting in a preseason match? Any rumors about injuries/pill problems with this guy? If he's not gonna play this season can we roll with Darling?

BHP and I were actually talking about this last night after you got kicked out of Bdubs.

You would think a guy with TWO Stanley Cup rings and no history of alleged rape would at least get the start in a preseason game.

For those that have frequented the Double Door, it only has stairs into the basement. Crawford stayed on the main level, moshed, smashed a Labatt Blue over someone's head, peed on the bar, jumped on the Damen Blue Line and hasn't been seen since. None of us know if he's on his way to Detroit tonight for their next tilt.

Oh lay off it already. He's barely been watching hockey for 6 months. How do you think he's supposed to know everything about how preseason works?

I was quite taken back that Crawford didn't get the start, especially at home.

I think the answer to why Q would start Darling in game one, and Crawford in game two is two fold.

1) To assess Darling with the majority of starters, when he knows what to expect.
2) To assess the bench players in game two, with goal keeping he knows exactly what to expect from.

He is giving Crawford the easier game against Detroit scrubs to ease him in, while giving the D scrubs of Blackhawks a fair representation of an NHL top goalie because we actually have to find one or two of those guys like Forsberg to bring up.
