First I want to say that I know this is not going to happen. I was messing around a bit and thought it was an interesting trade.

Bulls get:
Afflalo and Faried from Denver

Denver gets:
Stoudemire from the Knicks and a 1st round pick (Knicks or Bulls/Kings)

Knicks get:
Noah from the Bulls

76ers get:
Moore from the Bulls
McGee from the Nuggets
Calderon from the Knicks
and a 1st round pick (Knicks or Bulls/Kings)

Why it makes sense.

The Bulls move Noah for a very simliar player who is younger and healthier. They also free up the abiliy to Move Gibson if they want. Faried would be Thibs wet dream if he had to move on from Noah. the Bulls also get the extra wing player they need.

The Nuggets move out from under 3 longer deals, get an expiring contract, and a first round pick. This frees up enough money for them to purse someone in FA next off season and the rumors is the Nuggets are already having buyers remorse on Faried.

The Knicks get under the tax, and move Calderon's 3 year deal. They also get Noah who is an excellent fit for the triangle. Noah also helps that team change the culture quicker and frees up enough money for a max contract next season if the Knicks want to jump in on someone.

The 76ers get a pick for taking on bad contracts that no one wants. The 76ers are going nowhere for a couple of years so getting a pick for cap space you are no using does not hurt much.

***Note. This trade is doable with Gibson, but the Bulls have to probably move Dunleavy or Snell and Hinrich. I don't think the trade makes as much sense for the other teams involved.

My alternate trade with Gibson instead is:
Bulls get:
Afflalo and Faried from Denver

Trailblazers get:
Gibson and Mohammed from the Bulls

Nuggets get:
McDermott and Snell from the Bulls (plus a pick) ***the Bulls could also swap these two out and give up Dunleavy who is an expiring contract.

76ers get:
Moore from the Bulls
Claver, Blake, Freeland (plus a pick)

The Trailblazers may have to give up 2 picks in this trade. They are getting Gibson for Garbage. This is highly modifiable trade too.

-Knicks aren't giving up a first to dump some contracts and Joakim Noah
-Sixers arent taking 2 contracts with 2-3 years left for a late first

the alternative trade is sightly more realistic assuming the rumors about Nuggets org not being that high on Faried are true but even then they could get more for Faried alone moreless a package of Afflalo+Faried

i think Taj for the likes of Goran Dragic or Terrence Ross are what is more likely...these trades are like you said: crazy lol

If the Knicks are looking to make a move in FA next season getting Noah and Moving Calderon would be huge. The pick would be protected of course and may not come to due for 5 years. I guess I look at it like this.

If the Knicks have enough for a max deal they can make a run at Love. You put Melo/Love/Noah together with decent supporting cast in the East and you have something. If the Knicks are going to keep Melo this move makes a lot more sense then sucking for 4 years and hoping you can draft enough talent.

No one is going to give the 76ers a first round pick for a contract that expires this year. The 76ers have 14 million in salary obligations next season. They can easily afford to take ~19 million for McGee and Calderon if it gives them a future first. Does anyone really think the 76ers are even going to attempt to win next season? They are already talking about trading Carter-Williams. I imagine they would would take almost any contract right now for future first round picks.

My perception is the Knicks are trying to win next season and 76ers are trying to win in 4 years.

Those are indeed some crazy trades

Second one is kinda funny as it involves trading McDermott back to Denver, effectively making that draft day deal completely pointless. But Afflalo and Faried would help this team a lot so...eh, I'll look past it.

Out of curiosity are those trades crazy because they move Noah/Gibson or because they have so many moving pieces and teams?

Lol, definitly a complex deal. I would definitely welcome Faried here. I didn't know he was that young.

Why not just make up fictional players that the Bulls can hire off the street?

Out of curiosity, did you conjure up these trades to test people's thresholds in terms of trading Noah and Gibson? If you're going to do that, why is Rose off limits?

Why would Denver want Stoudemire

To get out from under 3 longer deals so they have cap flexibility next season. Think of Stat as an expiring contract not a player. They remove long term debt for short term debt and get a pick.

Gibson has been talked about in trades, Faried has been talked about, and the Trailblazers have been linked in moves. I kind of just looked at the rumors out there and said how can I make a deal that takes those assets and moves them in a way that makes some sense, follows the CBA rules, and might make the Bulls better.

I guess I was just dicking around. Thought it was somewhat interesting.

Cool. I was just clicking around and read an article from international business times talking about trading Rose for Westbrook.

I'm not sure about that but I'd trade Rose for Ty Lawson and Faried. That would accomplish more than your proposal.
