Creepy Things Going On In Arkansas--Besides The Usual Stuff

On the radio this morning they mentioned an explanation for the dead birds.

Supposedly there was a pretty bad storm there right before this. The thought was that a very large updraft swept the flocks up thousands of feet where they froze or the oxygen levels were too low and they died.

I also read that it is not uncommon for this type of thing to happen in large storms where the birds will be struck by lightening. Your explanation makes more sense to me though.
