Often some words are misconstrued or are vague, or are taken into often wrong contexts, etc.
freedom,obscene language,sportsmanship,patriotism,terrorism,racism

out of the words listed above..what's your criteria on them? How would you classify a certain word...what is the true meaning or value of the word...what makes it different than other words that are relatively the same?

i want to hear your take on this...

Ignorant is a word that has lost it's meaning. Most people take it as an insult but it isn't a bad word, it just means you aren't knowledgeable about a specific subject.

Not if the word is used in the right context. Granted, if someone calls you ignorant, you could show you aren't by being knowledgeable about the subject being discussed. Otherwise, when used correctly, ignorant should not be an insult.

"Sport" and "athlete" are 2 words that are fun to try to define.

sport - an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc.

athlete - a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength; a participant in a sport, exercise, or game requiring physical skill.

Then you get get the arguments of what is/isn't a sport and who is/isn't an athlete.

Are any of these people athletes and do they participate in what you would consider a sport?

nascar drivers?
cheerleaders?
competitive body builders?
marching band members?
