They'll be in cap he'll after tagging Brown Jr so some good free agents will be cut.

3 time pro bowler DE Frank Clark would be cut if Brown is tagged. He's 29 years old now but still a good DE.

I thought Orlando brown was bad and people didn’t even want the bears to sign him because of some obscure nonsensical reasoning or PFF stat.

Why are the chiefs, perennial SB contenders, tagging this bum for a 2nd time in a row?????

Chiefs’ Frank Clark says he gave up drinking alcohol this offseason. Was part of diet change that resulted in noticeable weight loss. Also says he had a heart-to-heart with Andy Reid after the season where Reid was honest with Clark about him not reaching expectations in 2021.

Brown was dominant down the stretch for the Chiefs. He really did a 180 after his awful start to the season.

Poles traded Roquan Smith because he didn't want to spend the money-although Baltimore dsisagreed and paid him. .

Now it may be that there won't be players as good as Roquan availabe in free agency.

So he won’t be able to overspend on risky free agents that maybe have a 50% chance of hitting?

Smith was invisible in the playoff loss to the Bengals. He just simply doesn’t make a difference to justify the $20 million. UDFA Sanborn made just as many plays in the small sample size when compared to Smith. Sorry to burst your bubble

This dudes been whining about not paying an off ball LB 20 million for months. He probably doesn't have great knowledge on team building

He is top 20 OT with PFF. And Chiefs interior of the line is among the best in the league. Their problem spot is RT. It's the only problem on their PFF 4th ranked offensive line. Chiefs will likely get an OT or even 2 out of this next draft but it will be for that spot and potential depth at OT.

Do the Bears really want someone that gave up drinking alcohol?

Doesn't really matter if he was on the Bears list or not, one less FA tackle mean all the others stock just rose.

Brown led the NFL with 58 pressures. Good thing he has a GOAT QB at evading pressure.

Bears may have the money to spend but they are probably not going to have any top names to spend that money on.

Bears need good players. Even if there aren't any big names, they can spread the money around and sign more good but not necessarily great players.

I'm not sure he was even very high on the Bear's free agent wish list
Correct. I think the Bears wish list is a big name at RT and a vet to go as a backup at LT. Poles will run with Jones next season as the starter. Maybe Bakhtari can be the backup next season on the cheap? I’m not sure GB keeps him but they probably do.
