seems like LA wants to much for Loney. Cubs wont give up top prospects for a guy who looks like he may have hit his peak

Loney sucks ass.

He hits fairly well, hits quite a few doubles, does a decent job of getting on base, doesn't strike out that often, and is a good defensive player. I don't care that he doesn't hit home runs - he'd be a great fit at 1B.

Ya, i like Loney's D, but not much else.

No, no, he wouldn't. He sucks. He can't even OPS league average at 1B. I don't want him. He flat out sucks.

OPS is not the end-all-be-all of whether or not someone is a good baseball player.

You're right. Let's use wOBA, the best offensive stat...

Last 3 years: .333, .332, .315. This is at first base, the most abundant position on the field. This year, only Cantu and Jones(Pirates) were worse. He is awful.
