Bad. I think a rotation of Z, Dempst, Archer, Cashner, and Jackson would be fine.

Don't want him. His control issues scare me and he has a LOB% of 71.5 this season.

Wow, so his ERA could've been bloated a lot more.

Yeah 3 rookies in the starting rotation. That's the way to go. 2 of which haven't even played an inning of major league baseball.

We'd be fine with Dempster, Z, Gorz, Cashner, Silva/Wells

I would love for the Cubs to have 3 rooks in the SPR, but it won't happen.

Thank you waldo.

And I don;t care if there's 3 rookies in the rotation, even though that's only 2, as Cash was a rookie this year. We need to rebuild IMO. And if they are the best talents, then they should start.

If they are the best, they do need to play, however, you have to be absolutely sure they are the best. Rushing somebody is never good, i think the Cubs know that more then anybody. I think it's better to take our time and develop their talents before they jump up to the majors unless we are sure they can do it. We don't have a Felix Hernandez. We have a bunch of projects that may need a lot of tune up still.

That being said, i think Casey Coleman will earn a job for the rotation.
