The Rockies are 11-6 versus the Cubs since 2010. The only team the Cubs have been worse against in that stretch is the Reds (16W to 40L).

They do always seem to play the Cubs tough, but maybe this team puts together a decent stretch here. It would be nice to flirt with .500 for a little bit.

cubs lead the league in doubles, XBH, 5th in HRs, 5th in total bases, and 4th in SLG.
BUT
9th in AVG. 12th in OBP 11th in total Ks 6th most in GDP dead last at .196 with runners in scoring position
which equals to 11th in Runs scored ..
more stats that make you shake your head ....
pitching
3rd in QS 2nd in BAA 5th in OBP 8th in ERA
some great stats by hitters and pitchers but yet their 15 and 22
goes to show you need a decent bullpen / closer and you need some clutch hits to drive in runs

this team may not play .500 ball this year but have to say they have some good ball players and pieces that could be a part of helping this team win games in the next couple of years as they hopefully and should get better..

hitting is contagious..
rizzo, castro, and soriano are all hitting now and then you add in schuerholtz, castillo and dejesus, with a dash of ransom and barney
and you get some nice productive games of scoring runs..
