To be honest, after further consideration, I would rather the Cubs sign Soler. He would more be in their plans, can get acustomed to baseball in America with playing in the minors and will be way cheaper.

Cespedes will come in and go straight to the majors due to his age. Depending on team, he will start in the minors, but be a faster call-up.

Yeah maybe, but the Cubs have the best scouting team in the majors. So.. you never know.

They might have it but you won't know for at least four years. Very early returns say they don't but like I said way way too early to tell

Their new scouting departments have not gone through a draft yet and not major trades.

I expect the Cubs to have a better chance signing Soler and think there's a very good chance they will. He could be better than Cespedes with age and more expierence.

I like the lack of risk involved with Soler. But if we don't get Fielder, I think I'd rather have Cepedes. He would also be ML-ready a lot sooner.

Cubs continue to be spending like crazy in the international market. Good deal to spend now before the cap takes effect.
