This article is rather useless and a waste of time if it doesn't list potential players who would be available at the 6 spot. To say they pick 6th, all you need is like 1 sentence. Add a little about the past picks but nobody cares about the past picks and it doesn nobody any good to know we pick 6th without seeing and reading what kind of talent may be available for the Cubs. I don't follow college/high school much, and i stopped my subscription to baseball america 2 years ago, so i don't know who may be available, but i assume they may land a real life player with #6.

You don't know what players are available until the season kicks off. It changes all the time, but have hard this class is weak right now.

How can you know if the class is weak if you don't know what players are available?

Just because they weren't named doesn't mean they don't know who they are. I don't see how they can say that they are weak, if they don't know who they are. That doesn't make any sense.

I'm just stating what I've heard from reports. It has been more than 1 report sayin' that. If it's true or not, IDK.

Underclassman can return to school and not enter the NBA or NFL draft up until like 6 weeks prior to the draft, so that changes often too, and yet there is still lists of potential players. There is potential players for this draft too, as well as mock drafts, but it's not my article, when i clicked on the link, i shouldn't have had to go google this years potential draft class to see who we may get with the 6th pick. Just saying.

Because you never know...it changes so fast. A player this year could have been really good, but really bad next year. It's baseball and it happens. Injuries, etc.

That's why they call it potential.

You're missing the entire point. The point is this, if you're willing to sit down and write an article/blog about the Cubs 6th pick, do some research about potential players who may be available in that slot and give us an opinion/take on those players. If you don't, which you didn't, the entire article is pointless and not even worth reading. If you want people to keep checking your stuff out, you have to keep them informed from the first word til the last. Your article was already done after the title. That's all we needed to see to know everything about your entire article.

I completely disagree.... When the draft gets closer, I will then because it's more reliable. But now I don't believe shit.

Waldo's right; at this point we don't really know who the best guys to get are, but stuff that I've read suggests that this coming draft class won't be as good as the past one when the Cubs missed out on Anthony Rendon, Bubba Starling, and a bunch of really good pitchers. Getting the #6 pick is good though as they'll at least get to pick the best of the shit, and there's enough time between now and next June when they'll find out whether certain kids are worth signing and whether they would actually sign with the Cubs. Between now and then, the coming draft class could get upgraded to "awesome" rather than "meh".

I wouldn't go that far. Andrew Cashner doesn't look like a bust if he stays healthy, we really can't judge Colvin yet, Vitters could be as of now, but he's still young and is improving, Simpson prolly yes and Jackson won't. I expect Baez to no be a bust either. But before all of these, all the Cubs draft picks have been.

Rafael Palmeiro and Jon Garland did pretty well. Just not for the Cubs
