I'm not sure Wells was a whole lot better than normal. The dude still threw 53 pitches for balls. But, a win is a win...Muse, we've had much better luck w/ you writing the post-game recap than...umm....errr.........that other guy.

wells had a good outing despite throwing a bit off the strike zone
only one ER

and i know we are all tired of not being able to produce w/ RISP

thank god we took advantage of the loaded bases in the 9th

True he did throw more pitches out of the zone, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. Wells has been a strike thrower and has been getting hit hard lately. Walks haven't been his problem. The fact that he was missing more could keep him out of the middle of the plate, which cannot be a bad thing. If walks become a problem then look out because he's done.
