Stupid fucking Reds were up 4-0 in the 6th against the Pirates. Pirates load the bases with none out - Reds go on to walk in 3 runs and eventually let up the tying 4th run.

You know, it's funny how expectations change. I didn't think the Cubs would make the postseason in 2015 nor did I need that to be happy with this season. When August rolled around I decided to stop underestimating this team and I wanted them to get in come hell or high water. Then I was ok with the WC game on the road when it looked like a game at Wrigley was impossible. Now I want this. I don't think it's the end of the world if they play on the road but it would be so nice to have it at Wrigley. The team is doing their part, the Reds not so much. Go Reds! Oh and Go Cubs

FWIW, the cubs have the best road record in the league at 47-33. They are 49-32 at home. That excludes todays game.

I'm good with it to. Statistically the game could go either way but I like Arrieta over Cole and winning 8 in a row, for a bunch of kids, is huge. I like their chances.

Great finish. . 8 in a row and totally dominant pitching by the starters in all 8 games.. something crazy like a 0.35 ErA

Best by a Cubs team in 70 years, even though they played 36 games against teams that won 98 or more.

45-18 in their last 63. .714 ball over that stretch. Very seldom out of a game.
