Fulmer just came in top of the 8th, up 3-1. Whose ready to fly the L?

I can see why Mervis got promoted. Wisdom is mired in a slump. Need that power

Still not sold on Mervis. Strike outs are up vs MLB. At least he is driving in a few runs.

He needs at least 100 pa for a good feel.

Amaya on the other hand. Let him start more. See what he brings.

Insane. “I’m not sold on….” someone after two games would be crazy enough, but at one point he touted Mervis as Ruth 2.0.
More on the two game Mervis analysis...... he's on pace to drive in 130 runs without hitting a HR

Great comeback by the Cubs in the 9th. But absolute garbage at bat by Mervis with a runner on 2nd and 2 outs.

Mervis needs to walk this off in the 14th if he hopes to stay in the bigs.

Sac bunt today was his biggest contribution in a week.

Folks, this is a .500 team. As weak as this division appears to be....that could get them into the playoffs. Anyone really think they are going anywhere? They are still rebuilding. I like Bellinger but he's probably a deadline trade chip.....Hosmer, Mancini and Barnhart are nothing more than placeholders. Get used to them losing close games....it's not stopping anytime soon.

No one expectations should be higher than that coming in. They got some vibes to them and its a whole season but bullpen was always the biggest issue and will continue.

I'm pretty tempered with him. We have seen many struggle and get sent down over the years. I'm not expecting Bryant who made it look natural. If we get Rizzo in SD who looked like a bust and rebuilt to a all star I'll be estatic.

About it. I am not expecting anything right now. What happens happens.
