Listening to His and Hers podcast and they mentioned that the only QB with a worse Total QBR in a Super Bowl than Manning's 9.9 was Rex back in 2006. That means Rex was at least the worst in a decade. Damn.

And Peyton gave the Seahawks the fastest touchdown in SB history by fumbling the ball away. Even faster than Hester's return TD to open the game. What a jerk.

how did he even pull that off? :lmao:

I lol at people that hate Cutler so much they actually think Grossman was better. after losing to the Chargers in 2007 I was over his shit. that was week 1.

Grossman didn't play that much worse than Manning in that Super bowl. The Bears lost because Benson fumbled when we were up 14-6 and driving, and we couldn't stop the run and short passing game of the Colts. And the final nail was the pick 6.

Guess what would have happened if Kubiak asked Manning to win that game for them or in a downpour.

Grossman was worse than Manning in 2006 by a lot and even worse than 2015 Manning and that is the problem.

I'm not so sure if this is true. Manning threw a pick early and looked bad. The Bears got cute and didn't run Thomas Jones like the workhorse he was. The Cots got smart and ran the ball down our throats and screen passed us to death. So yes Peyton played better but he wasn't anything to write home about. I just checked the stats and they too tell the story. And if Benson doesn't fumble I think we go up 17 to 6 or even 21 to 6. Different game then.

Mannings postseasons have never been much to write home about.

It wasn't all on Rex but my point is that he had the worst QB performance in a decade of SBs. It's pretty sad that the Bears make it the SB after 20 years and then see their QB piss down his leg essentially. The D was playing without two stars and was hanging tough but Rex just killed them.

Look at the play by play, even if you only look at the box score, he threw 2 ints and lost a fumble. He was putrid. Compare that to some of the heroic losing performances we see in the SB. The Bears two scoring drives were good field position followed by a long run from the 43 to the five and Grossman to Muhammed 4 yd TD. The second was FG where the offence got great field position and ran the ball into FG range.

I still think Benson went out with a phantom injury. that was horseshit that he gets a knee injury AND loses a fumble.

and also as noted, Thomas Jones was working and Turner just abandoned him and started having Grossman play like they were down 30 points. Grossman was bad, but that was an epic coaching failure as well.

The Bears loss was not on Rex it's on the coaching staff. Hester put us up 7 from the jump all we needed was our D and T Jones. Nope not the Bears, they thought we should pass the ball on a bad Rex day.

Nah. Rex have a heavier load. He actually had to make plays. Peyton only completed 13 passes in optimal conditions and barely threw at all after halftime.

And a few of those could have gone the other way. Carolina didn't make plays.

Rex had a 68.3 rating with 1 TD and 2 picks.

Ben Roethlisberger had a 22.6 rating just the year prior with 0 TD's thrown (one rushing) and 2 picks.

In 2000 Kerry Collins had a 7.1 with 0 TD's and 4 picks.

2002- Rich Gannon had a 48.9 with 2 TD's and 5 picks.

1998- Chris Chandler 47.2 with 1 TD and 3 picks.

2015- Peyton Manning 56.6 with 0 TD's and 1 pick.

2015- Cam Newton 55.4 with 0 TD's and 1 pick.

It was not the worst performance in a decade.

Genius idea of Ron Turner to throw the ball so damn much In a extremely rainy super bowl.

Good logic there, Ron.

Thomas Jones just had a 52 yard run while leading 14-6? Let's stop giving him the ball and let Benson and Grossman carry us to victory.
