I just can’t believe that you had Eberflus, Getsy and Fields all, I’m sure, understanding that this could be their last game as Bears—and with the entire season culminating in this one moment, with one last opportunity to show that “we are the right guys, dammit,” this is what they came up with? Terrible.

That's a good point. From a tackling perspective, it looked like guys were making career decisions for next season.
The defense also looked like they didn't want to cover the receivers either, in case they might catch a cold
