This is surprising. I don't even think the Hawks will win the West, but I'm totally cool with it if this does happen.

Canucks are basically the same team outside losing Torres & Ehrhoff.

Yes they are...but Raymond and Kesler being injured to start the season will definitely hurt them. Kesler and the Sedins all played 82 games last year. I still think they take the Blackhawks in the regular season, playoffs are another beast. Losing Torres, a 4th liner that put up 30 points, is going to hurt - just like losing Eager/Burish did for the Hawks.

I think the Sharks are going to surprise a lot of people this year, I really like their offseason moves. There are a number of teams that could represent the West in the finals.

Blackhawks may be the one Chicago team the media loves. I'm cool with that. Hope all this positive press doesn't get to the player's heads or put any pressure on them. I'm sure Q will keep them in check though.

Kane > Oveckhin :shifty:

David Toews > Daniel Sedin
Jonathan Toews > Henrik Sedin

Stalberg > Crosby

Scott > Stamkos

:troll:

The Jonathan Toews one is serious though...

So... we'll make it, and then lose to Pittsburgh, and then Dewey will say the team sucks and we need to rebuild :shifty:

I honestly don't see how Vancouver is getting no consideration. I mean, sure they choked, but they are still a great team, no doubt.

That's the problem...Luongo is still Luongo...I.E. he chokes more than a porn star during a ********.

Also, the Canucks might be a little shellshocked after what happened to them last season.

I don't see them getting back to the Finals this season.

Canucks fans comments on the cup prediction are priceless.

Toews is a bad leader who doesn't grind and is just a one-way player  We have no goaltender. We won't make the playoffs. If we do, 7th is our absolute maximum.

Translation:
I'm gonna shit my pants if my Canucks have to face Chicago again.

Crawford has already shown in the preseason that he's good.
Toews will be good as always.
Kane has buffed up and matured and will be better.
The fourth line might actually do something this year.
Bickell and Frolik are one year older and better.

I don't see why he wouldn't pick the Hawks to win. As long as there aren't too many injuries.

I honestly don't see how Vancouver is getting no consideration. I mean, sure they choked, but they are still a great team, no doubt.

Their two most skilled and talented players are front running, diving, cowards that turn invisible when times get tough.

Roberto Luongo.

They'll get consideration, but their flaws are HUGE, expensive and NOT easy to correct.

The fact that they haven't even canned Vigneault leads me to expect more of the same from the Canucks.
