**** me. First damned game.

I seem to recall that before Carcillo went out last year we had the best record in hockey. I thought it might have been a soft early schedule but still...

I hope it isn't that same effing knee again. I'm guessing the season since it's so short.

Anybody get a good feel for the lines today and have any idea how we might replace him on the 1 without fucking up all the other lines?

I heard that he is out a LONG time, which in a 48 game season means all of it, and that Saad is going to play, but my real question is where Saad is going to play. Carcillo was on the 1. Are we okay with a 1 of Toews, Hossa, and Saad, or are they going to stick Sharp or Kane on the 1, and put Saad on the 2 with Bolland and whoever they don't move up to the 1?

Personally, I think I'd just as soon see Kane move up and make the 2 Bolland, Sharp, and Saad. I was honestly surprised that they split up Bolland and Bickell, so I apparently have no idea what Q-stache is thinking.

You'd have to move Kane to first line now with Toews and Hossa.

Kaner got the assist on the Toews goal in the 2nd period, so you may be right. I bet he puts Kane on the 1, moves Stalberg to the 2, and puts Saad on the 4.

Those are 3 talented guys that can play instead of just fight

They are also three guys that tend to take really stupid penalties. I would much rather see a guy like Saad on the top line and only have two of those guys playing.

I've yet to see Bollig take a stupid penalty, his mostly come from fights. Shaw is just young and will learn to control it. Carcillo is just Carcillo.

Saad should have been playing in the top 6 no matter what. Its a waste of development to call him up and play him occasionally
