Why doesn't he get more love? He has the one of the best hands in this years draft and looking at his tape you can see a really crisp routes. He broke Desean Jackson record on punt returns with 9 career punt touchdowns.

Excited to see how he does at the combine tomorrow. If he runs a 4.3 or 4.4 he's a late first rounder or early 2nd.

Solid secondary receiving option who has spent time on his craft and has the ability to attack and uncover on all three levels. Pettis lacks physicality and could struggle to handle in-your-face press corners, so he may see snaps from the slot. While his punt return talent solidifies his draft standing, his ability as route-runner combined with his smooth pass-catching should give him a long, solid career.

His ability to stick his foot in the ground and change direction is crazy.

Once he hits his top speed he’s at top speed the entire time he runs

I like him, but the only reason I can think of doesn't really make much sense, is John Ross. Similar type players at U of Washington, he was hurt and the Bengals are trying to turn him into a DB now. Pettis is listed at 6'1" on nfl.com, measured just over 6' at the combine. It may scare some teams off from him, since it's only one year removed. Like I said, it doesn't make much sense, but I think Pettis has skills.

We've seen players overlooked in lead up to the draft and in the draft for bizarre reasons over the years.

It's way to early to call John Ross a bust.

It's also the Bengals, who bungled the shit out of that situation with John Ross.

I'm not labeling him a bust. Fact is Ross didn't play. Not sure anyone knows exactly why. I also said it didn't make sense, but they look similar on film at Washington. NFL front office types get weird over players for stupid reasons. Just saying this might be one of those situations.

LOL at the 1:30 mark of that highlight video. Punt team player plows through his own team mate who was honing in on Pettis
