I appreciate the integrity of dark souls. Just dont know why anyone would subject themselves to it.

It's a challenge which makes it fun. Sometimes I get pissed and have to set it down. You have to appreciate the work of the sadistic developers as well.

It is tough the first play though after that it gets a lot easier I've now played through it about 7 times using different characters everytime

Yeah it's rough in the beginning until you start learning your opponents and get the timing down. It's also rough until you upgrade your weapons. I still have no idea what I am doing. For example, I upgraded my bastard sword so I could kill something in one or two shots. However, I have no idea if that's a good weapon to upgrade. Also, unlike dark souls 1, resources are limited since farming for components is limited.

That sword is alright it all depends on what kind of character you have. Scaling is very important to when second on a weapon.
