It was expected. Thanks, Dave for some fantastic playoff runs and the clincher in 2013! Good luck in Toronto!

A trade that needed to be done for a lot of reasons - mostly cap related ones. Return of picks is okay, but it is the cap space which Chicago coveted.

Love what Bolland has brought to the Blackhawks and hopefully he can play well for TML. If this wasn't the cap era, Bolland would still be in Chicago.

If there was no salary cap than I would love to keep Bolland as a third line center, but because of that he needed to go. Picks hopefully net us something, but more than anything it is the cap space. Bickell I would think gets resigned and hopefully they can land something in the free agent market to upgrade this team.

It seems like a fair trade.... He wasn't going to net a first rounder and the Hawks didn't want to take on more salary from him. Pirri should get an opportunity now.

Three picks for Bolland is more than I would've expected. Nice fucking work by Bowman, again. (Not sarcasm, you assholes)

Sucks to see him go. His trolling of the Sedins for three straight postseasons was fucking magical.

Definitely now part of the Toronto bandwagon, though. Really excited to watch him troll the Bruins and Wings in their new division.

If it allows us to keep a few of the others, I'm ok with it, I guess. Always liked him as a Blackhawk.

Alas, even though he was good at his role, you now have Shaw that does the same stuff for a lot less money.

Stan continues to amaze me for what he gets in trades. He has also had really good luck in the draft as well so far. If that continues, you cannot discount trades like this. Keep the core together, and keep adding young guys and cheap veterans to fill in needs.

I know why it happened and it was expected.. but as you said, I'm on the Maple Leafs bandwagon now too :)

I agree with everything but the bolded.

Dave Bolland is sneaky dirty. Never before have I seen somebody smack a Sedin in the face with his stick and not get called for it. Shaw is all emo. Shaw came up this year, he needs to play a bit closer to the edge, like Bolland to be effective even more and pick his spots better.

That being said, Bolland didn't get his game back until the final three games of the final. His injury history is a fucking *****.

CHAMPS!!!
